CESSNA GRAND CARAVAN 208B-EX
Our Cessna Grand Caravan C208B-EX amphibian aircrafts, produced in 2014, are considered one of the most reliable, cost effective and, safest single-engine aircrafts. The amphibious floats offer the ultimate in flexibility and allow us to fly to any suitable water or runway landing area.
THE FIRST AND ONLY COMMERCIAL SEAPLANE SERVICE IN VIETNAM
In 2014, Hai Au Aviation received the three Cessna Grand Caravan 208B-EX aircrafts at Cessna factory in Wichita City of Kansas. After having the floats assembled by Wipaire Inc, Minnesota, the planes then spent about 60 hours flying through California, Hawaii, Marshall, Philippines and finally to Vietnam. Up to now, Hai Au Aviation is still the only company offering the commercial seaplane service in Vietnam and has maintained strong double digit growth in the number of customers and revenue annually.
AIRCRAFT EQUIPMENTS
Apart from the impressive outfits, especially with the two attached pontoons under each seaplane’s fuselage, all planes have been equipped with the most modern ‘glass cockpit’ avionics, weather radar, storm tracker system and Garmin GPS. All routes and water operating areas are surveyed and approved for using by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
AIRCRAFT CAPACITY
For Hanoi – Halong or Halong – Hanoi flights, our seaplane can typically carry up to 8 adult passengers (with luggage) per aircraft. In some occasions, passenger and luggage weights are below the maximum allowable payload. Therefore, we may be able to carry up to 12 passengers, particularly the scenic flights in Halong bay.
